Biographical note
Undergraduate Degree in Statistics and Economnics from the Università La Sapienza of Rome, Italy (1991); MS Degree and PhD in Statistics from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. I was Ph.D. Postdoctoral fellow, Research Associate, and Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Harvard University and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, U.S.A. (1996-1998). Currently I am Full professor of Statistics at Bocconi University and Fellow of the research centers CERGAS and Dondena since 2008. I have acted as the director of the MSc program in Economics and Social Sciences, and I am currently director of the Carlo F. Dondena research center.
Research interests
My research focuses on the analysis of experimental data: Survival analysis; Treatment effect heterogeneity; Clinical trials in oncology; Methods for missing data problems. My research includes biosurveillance, interpoint-distance based methods and risk in health.
