MAURIZIO COHEN

In my capacity as Adjunct Professor, I have been teaching Sports Law at the Master Program in Sport Business Management, International University of Monaco (IUM) since 2012. In my capacity as Adjunct Professor, I have been teaching Sports Law at Bocconi University, Milan since 2019/2020.

I am a Monegasques citizen practicing as international legal and tax advisor in Monaco. Since 1982 I am a Certified Public Accountant in Italy and since 1986 I am a Member of the Italian Bar. I advise clients and families on wealth preservation and transfer through generations. I have developed a substantial expertise in sports law, advising prominent sportspeople, clubs, multinational sports agencies, international federations and Olympic committees. A member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne (Switzerland), I frequently speak at dedicated conferences worldwide.
 

Memberships and associations include the Italian Bar association, the Italian Certified Public Accountants Association, the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA), the International Sports Lawyers association (ISLA), the Associazione Italiana Avvocati dello Sport (AIAS), the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the International Tax Planning Association (ITPA) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA). The Italian Embassy in Monaco has appointed me Official Counsel in 2005. I am Chairman of the STEP Monaco Branch, Vice Chairman of STEP Europe and Council Member of STEP Worldwide. I have been awarded as Cavaliere Ufficiale della Stella della Repubblica Italiana by the President of the Republic of Italy.
